Son#2 going to big boys school

Amri was away with his friends on a day trip to Janda Baik so Adam and I went out for back to school shopping trip. This kind of trip is best done with the boys seperated. Together, they will create enough chaos to result in forgotten items or uniform in the srong size. Seperately, each one is an angel.
Adam looking worriedly at his Primary 1 books. After years of bringing just his english reader and occasional stationery, he is now entering the big bad world of rote learning.

Trying his uniforms. I love that he'll be in polo shirt and PE tshirt except Monday, where he'll be turn out formally in blue shirt and school tie. The uniforms are comfy and suited the kids well. And easy to manage for parents/maids.

Met a pretty lady while paying for the books and uniforms. Turned out she is from TTDI Jaya and one of her sons will be in Primary 1 too. She was new to this school so I had fun giving her a helping hand.

Off to Subang Parade to buy shoes and some fancy stationeries. Big boy going to big boys school will need big boys stationeries:)

Mommy needs stationeries (to colour mommy's face) and school shoes too...so Adam dutifully wait outside each shop.

Rewarding ourselves after a hard day of lugging our shoppings around :). Mission accomplished.....phew!

A first jamboree

Amri is attending his first annual jamboree this coming Friday and Saturday, held at his school field. I'm proud to say that, at 10 (nearly), he is no stranger to camping trip. And definitely not at a comfy school field. But this is the first camp he is attending as a boy scout and the jamboree will be organised by teachers and Malaysia Army staffs. How cool can it get?

What amused me was the list of the clothes he has to bring. Among other things:
4 t shirts
2 track bottoms
2 sport shoes
1 set of school uniforms
1 set of baju melayu (complete with sampin and songkok)
1 set of planters order*.

Honestly, Amri brought much less on a 3 days camping trip. But then, this is not a picnic cum camping trip. This is a lot more serious stuffs. I just hope Amri and his friends has enough time to change clothes throughout the day and night. It does sound like these kids are going to play dressing up though :)

Hope they have tonnes of fun.

*Planters order is a semi formal dress code, i.e long pants, long sleeve shirt, tie and smart shoes. In a letter from Amri's school, it specifically mentioned black shoes and black slack. I was quite reluctant to buy a 10 year old boy a proper slack so I settled for a docker like black pants :)

He still doesn't have a sampin!!

My last kindy concert ....

for now, or at least until Aqil starts kindy. Which will not happen until at least another 3 years. It feels kind of weird really, because there was always a kindy concert every year ever since Amri started attending q-dees 6 years ago, then followed by Adam.

Well. I can start looking forward to Adam's first concert as a primary schooler next year:) But still....feeling a bit melancholic. And there is always Aqil. I can always starts him at 2 years old.

Frankly, I wanted to cry seeing Adam shaking his principals hand during graduation and then solemnly line up with his classmates. He looked so tall. My chubby little baby has grown up. But he is still my baby...

Baby Aqil @ 7 months old

He has mastered sitting down last month and later, lunging around which put us on high alert at all time

He then figured out how to crawl after spending a few days rocking on all fours tirelessly

Adam said Aqil is doing yoga - downward dog pose

And now, he is pulling up.

What is with the rush baby darling....mummy seriously can't keep up. I haven't even start shopping for high chair yet and now probably have to jump straight to buying safety gate and babyproofing the house.
